Sung Oh is a Computer Science student at Virginia Tech with a 3.91 GPA. His research spans the Tech on the Trail Lab, where he fine-tunes large language models for educational platforms, and the IDEEAS Lab, where he applied natural language processing to analyze social media sentiment toward generative AI in CS education. This research led to a first-author full paper at IEEE FIE 2024 and an extended abstract presented at CHI 2025.

As a software engineering intern at Fasoo, Sung built a real-time speech-to-text system leveraging WebSockets and Voice Activity Detection (VAD), significantly enhancing transcription speed and accuracy. He is proficient in Java, Python, TypeScript, and machine learning frameworks.
