Sung is a Ph.D. student in Computer Science and Informatics at Emory University, where he works with Dr. Emily Wall in the Cognition and Visualization Lab. His research in visualization and human-computer interaction studies how people explore data and make decisions with visual analytics tools, and designs interventions that support them.
He graduated summa cum laude from Virginia Tech with a B.S. in Computer Science. As an undergraduate, he conducted research in the Notification Systems Lab with Dr. Scott McCrickard and the IDEEAS Lab with Dr. Andrew Katz.
